Friends of the Mount:

How can you help?

The Mount Elephant Community Committee would like to extend a warm welcome to any individual, business or group who would like to become involved in the redevelopment and restoration of the mount. There is a large amount of work to be undertaken from weed and pest animal control through to remnant vegetation management and revegetation works as well as the work needed to open the mount as a tourism destination. The committee would welcome any volunteers and any corporate assistance that may be available to help in the undertaking of these works.

When can you help?

The Mount Elephant committee have regular open days and working bees on the Mount and have GreenCorp, Conservation Volunteers, International Student Volunteers and Prison Crews helping out. There is always lots to do from fencing to planting trees, weed control and even pest animal works.

Facility Upgrade!

In the next few years we wish to embark on a major development with the building of an interpretation and education centre at the Mount. With this development there will be lots of work replanting, putting in native gardens and so forth.
